Iron nickel chromium super alloy
Description
A286 (UNS S66286) is an iron-nickel-chromium superalloy that is precipitation-hardenable and designed for high-temperature structural applications. It is sometimes described as an iron-based Inconel due to its composition and properties.
It’s widely used where high strength, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance are required at elevated temperatures, particularly in aerospace and industrial applications.
