Ceramic coatings provide a durable, high-performance protective barrier designed for components operating in aggressive and high-temperature environments. By combining ceramic coatings as part of a complete protective system, these advanced finishes create a thin, hard, corrosion-resistant surface able to withstand mechanical wear and extreme thermal or chemical degradation.

Due to these high-integrity properties, fasteners protected by ceramic coatings can be deployed in demanding environments that would normally preclude their use, including automotive, aerospace, marine and offshore energy industries.

The LoneStar Group offers the following ceramic coatings

Xylar 1*

  • An aqueous/acidic-based aluminium coating.
  • Excellent chemical, corrosion and abrasion resistance at extreme temperatures.
  • Also protects from high temperature oxidation and salt-laden atmospheres.

Xylar 2* 

  • A hard, cermet finish that offers a robust sacrificial barrier to corrosion and wear. 

SermaGard 1105 

  • An aluminium-filled basecoat system.
  • Designed to provide outstanding salt corrosion protection and UV resistance.
  • Trusted to protect in extreme offshore atmospheric and subsea environments. 

SermaGard 1280 

  • An aluminium-filled basecoat/resin-bonded fluoropolymer topcoat system.
  • Designed to provide outstanding salt corrosion protection and UV resistance.
  • Trusted to protect in extreme offshore atmospheric and subsea environments.
